Zero Waste DIY Toothpaste

Hello everyone! This past week I've been researching on making your own beauty products at home. One of the first things that came to mind was toothpaste. I've seen many other zero waste bloggers attempt this so I thought I would give it a try. I've tried a store bought toothpaste that claimed to be zero waste. I loved that they were a Canadian company selling toothpaste in glass jars with multiple flavors to choose from. However, it did not make my fresh breath last long. What is Zero Waste?

So you might be wondering... what is zero waste? Well to put it in simple terms, it's a goal for a person[s] to not send trash and waste to landfills, and oceans. Trash and waste are usually categorized together. Waste/Trash is often classified as something that has no intention to be used again. Or how many plastic toothbrushes you've thro

Welcome to the blog!

Hello! Welcome to my journey to zero waste. To start off I want to explain one thing. I am not one of those bloggers who has a mason jar full of five years of trash, that's just not me. Plus I am still transitioning into this lifestyle. To introduce myself: Hi, I'm Kia. I am a nineteen year old young adult who is passionate about the environment. I recently discovered zero waste about a year ago and have slowly been making more environmentally conscious choices as I go along. There was no great epiphany that made me change overnight, and let's face it nobody is perfect. One thing is for sure, I care about the world I live in and am trying to do my part, at least on reducing my waste right now. With this blog as my main zero waste platform I'll be sharing my tips, reviews and opinions. I'll also include different personal lifestyle posts as I desire. Please feel free to send me any of your personal tricks or questions that you have. Thanks for joining
